Baptism photographer

A baptism is a day made of small gestures: hands adjusting the little gown, grandparents waiting in the living room, the godfather and godmother getting ready, the water on the forehead. These moments pass quickly and are worth keeping.

I am Manuel Rossi, a photographer based in Latina. I photograph baptisms in Latina, Rome and across Lazio, following the family for the whole half day: from home to the church and on to the restaurant. I often work in the Priverno area, with its beautiful churches and restaurants.

My way of working is discreet and natural: no directing and no forced poses, just what really happens.

How the day unfolds

Getting ready at home

We start at home, while the baby is being dressed. Here I prefer natural shots: the parents getting the baby ready, the godfather and godmother, the easy moments between the little one, relatives and the guests who have come to the house.

The church ceremony

In church I am a witness to each step of the rite, from the entrance to the moment of baptism, without disturbing the ceremony.

Family photos

After the ceremony there is time for the classic posed photos with parents, grandparents, godfather, godmother and relatives: the ones that someone in every family, quite rightly, wants to have.

The cake

The coverage usually ends with the cake, before lunch or dinner. It is the moment when almost every family prefers to stop: nobody likes being photographed while eating, and by then the little ones are starting to fall asleep.

What you receive

• Every photo from the day: I deliver everything I shoot, with no maximum number of images.
• Photos edited one by one: in my own style or, if you prefer, in the style you ask for.
• Digital delivery: you receive files ready to print and to share with the family.
• A short video, on request: I can also create a small emotional video with clips from the day.

Why you don't see children's faces here

On this page you will mostly find details: hands, little gowns, gestures. It is a choice: I prefer not to publish children's faces on the website. The complete photos of the day stay with the family, who decide whether and with whom to share them.

Frequently asked questions

How should we prepare for the getting-ready photos?

In no particular way: act as if I were not there. I will be a silent witness to your routine, and that is exactly how the most genuine photos are made.

How long does the coverage last?

About half a day: from getting ready at home to the church ceremony, up to the cake at the restaurant.

Do you also take posed photos with relatives?

Yes. After the ceremony we set aside a few minutes for group photos with the family.

How many photos do we receive?

All the ones I take during the day, with no limit, edited and delivered digitally.

Which areas do you cover?

Latina, Rome and the whole Lazio region. I often work in Priverno and the nearby towns.

Besides baptisms, I photograph weddings and create wedding films, in Latina, Rome and the rest of Lazio.
